Thomas Rhett Receives Diamond Platinum Award for ‘Die a Happy Man’ at Fenway Park

Country superstar Thomas Rhett hit the stage of Fenway Park wearing a Red Sox hat, and left Boston with a Diamond Platinum award.

The multi-platinum artist received a Diamond Platinum award for his 2015 hit single “Die a Happy Man.” The award came days after the release of About a Woman (& A Good Ol’ Boy), featuring a fresh set of three new tunes. The album includes vibrant tracks like “Ain’t a Bad Life” (ft. Jordan Davis), a soulful homage to ‘70s Southern rock, and the uplifting sing-along “Old Tricks” (ft. Blake Shelton), showcasing Rhett’s knack for mixing reflection with fun. Emphasizing his signature small-town funk, the energetic “Bottle With Your Name On It” rounds out the collection, with fans eager for more new music in the coming months.

Rhett’s current Top 10 single “After All The Bars Are Closed” continues to climb the country radio charts. Since breaking onto the scene with his 2013 hit “It Goes Like This,” the 35-year-old has gone on to rack up 23 No. 1 hits, accumulated over 16 billion streams, and received countless , including eight ACM Awards, two CMA Awards, and five Grammy nominations.

Thomas Rhett has Been Mesmerized by Boston

After performing before a sold-out Fenway audience along with The Castellows, Tucker Wetmore and Teddy Swims adding to the five-hour show, Rhett express his love for Boston with a long and affectionate Instagram post:  “So If I said I love you too many times last night, it’s because I’m not sure how to fully express how much this city means to me.”

The post on Instagram received over 150,000 likes with love coming from artists such as Parker McCollum (Winners win baby!), and Teddy Swims (My brother!!!!), as well as a thank  you from the folks at Fenway Park: “Thank you for an incredible night, @thomasrhettakins! It was an honor to have you and your family back at Fenway for an experience that none of us will ever forget. ♥️”

The Diamond Platinum status earned by “Die a Happy Man” was Rhett’s extraordinary impact on the music industry. Rhett continues to give fans what they want, as his Better in Boots tour continues with a stop in Raleigh, NC (July 31) and Charlotte (Aug. 1). The tour will feature a highly anticipated return to Fontainebleau Las Vegas for two nights in October.
