Tucker Wetmore’s ‘Brunette’ Becomes No. 1 Most-Added Song at Country Radio

Tucker Wetmore’s latest smash, “Brunette” is the No. 1 most-added song at country radio this week, landing 111 first-week station adds as it officially impacts airwaves nationwide. The single, from his debut album What Not To, recently entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 83, debuted at No. 40 on Billboard Country Airplay and No. 48 on Mediabase, and has surpassed 150 million U.S. streams.

The radio milestone follows Wetmore’s second straight No. 1 on Country Airplay, extending momentum built throughout 2025. The official “Brunette” video features Hannah Godwin and Joey Graziadei in a Western-themed storyline, while Wetmore opened 2026 with a national TV performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, pairing “Brunette” with his first chart-topper, “Wind Up Missin’ You.” He is also nominated for an iHeartRadio Music Award for Favorite Debut Album.

Wetmore’s rapid rise up the charts in 2026 is a continuation of a whirlwind 2025, which included his morning show debut  NBC’s TODAY with Jenna & Friends, in which he performed “Wind Up Missin’ You.” What made it memorable was that hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Ana Gasteyer surprised the former college football wide receiver on-air with a platinum plaque marking the hit’s milestone certification.

The appearance underscored a year-long surge that includes back-to-back entries on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Wine Into Whiskey” and “Wind Up Missin’ You,” as well as more than 765 million streams in under 12 months.

His 2025 résumé included consecutive No. 1 singles—making him the 14th artist to earn his first two No. 1s in the same calendar year—alongside a debut album billed as the biggest country debut by a new artist that year. He also earned ACM and CMA nominations and performed at the CMA Awards. Next up is The Brunette World Tour, launching in February with U.S., U.K., and European dates.

Wetmore recently released “Proving Me Right,” his first new track since What Not To, with more new music expected in 2026.
