Celebrate Carrie Underwood’s Birthday with this Fit52 Workout from Her Trainer

Monday is Carrie Underwood’s birthday. What better way to celebrate the “Before He Cheats” songstress by getting in a quick sweat session.

Courtesy of her coach, celebrity trainer Eve Overland, this quick upper-body workout takes less than 15 minutes and is sure to provide quite the burn. According to Overland who helps program many of Underwood’s workouts on the singer’s personal training app, Fit52, this workout targets all the top upper-body muscles

“I often do upper body and cardio,” Overland says, “but whatever that is for you just those two little nuggets I feel strong and empowered and getting a little good sweat in the midday, always makes me feel accomplished like I did something.”

Carrie Underwood rose to fame as the winner of “American Idol” in 2005, and now 20 years later returns to the show, this time as a judge alongside singers Luke Bryan and Lionel Ritchie.. Born on March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, she quickly established herself as a powerhouse in country music. Her debut album, “Some Hearts,” released in 2005, included hits like “Jesus, Take the Wheel” making her the first female country artist to win a Grammy for Best New Artist.

Throughout her career, Underwood has earned numerous accolades, including seven Grammy Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, and 10 American Music Awards. Known for her powerful vocals and emotional performances, she has sold over 70 million records worldwide. In addition to her music career, Underwood has made her mark in television, notably as the co-host of the “CMA Awards.”

Eve Overland’s 13-Minute Upper-Body Burn Workout

Instructions: Perform the following exercises, circuit style, for 10 reps. Take a short rest, if needed, in between rounds. Do three rounds.

  1. Hammer curl to press
  2. Dumbbell lateral raise
  3. Overhead triceps extension
  4. YTWs
