Keith Urban was honored in Nashville with an award that reflects both his musical impact and his longstanding commitment to children facing life-threatening illnesses. The four-time GRAMMY and 14-time CMA Award winner received The Randy Owen Angels Among Us Award on Thursday, March 19, in recognition of his outstanding service to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® and its mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®
Urban accepted the award during the Country Radio Seminar (CRS), where St. Jude was featured in a dedicated session for the first time. During the program, iHeartCountry Brand Coordinator/SVPP Gator Harrison interviewed Urban about his more than 20-year relationship with St. Jude and the importance of using his platform to support families confronting childhood cancer and other serious diseases.
“Being recognized with the Angels Among Us Award is not something I take lightly,” Urban said. “I’ve witnessed the courage shown by the children and families at St. Jude for more than 20 years, and it never ceases to amaze me. By standing together, we’ve been able to help St. Jude continue advancing research and treatment for children around the world with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is an absolute honor to stand behind a mission this meaningful.”
That mission will follow Urban on the road. He is touring extensively in 2026, with a schedule heavily focused on major festivals and select headlining theater dates. Following a successful run of his High and Alive World Tour in 2025, his 2026 appearances include headlining slots at the Boots In The Park festival in Arizona (March 21) and the Gulf Coast Jam in Florida (May 28). Other notable stops include CMA Fest in Nashville on June 5, Country Thunder Wisconsin in July, and the Mississippi Valley Fair on August 5, along with theater and casino shows at venues such as Yaamava’ Theater in California and the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Ontario.
Urban began visiting St. Jude in 1998 and was named the founding Artist Ambassador of its Connected Caring program in 2015. Over the years, he has supported the hospital through benefit concerts, radiothons, livestreams, marketing campaigns and special events.
