The Planet Fitness Tax Day Workout

The team at Planet Fitness has come up with a quirky but effective six-move total-body workout for all athletic levels. Perform for as many rounds as possible, or as soon as you’ve worked out all your tax day trauma.

  • Tax Return Squat & Twist (10 reps, each side): Start with feet hip width apart, lower into a squat, then drive up through your heels into a trunk rotation. This will not only work your legs and core, you’ll also twist away any remaining tax stress.
  • Refund Reach & March (10 reps, each side) Step out with one foot, reach high like you’re grabbing that tax refund.
  • Audit-Dodging Jacks & Jabs (as many rounds as possible): Perform 4 Jumping Jacks, then transition to Plyo Jabs—jumping forward while throwing punches that knock out financial stress.
  • Deadline Lunge & Kick (10 reps, each side):  Step back into a deep lunge, then power up into a front kick to boot away tax anxiety.
  • Extension Side Lunge & Knee Tuck (10 reps, each side): Move laterally into a side lunge, then drive up bringing your knee to chest—perfect for when you need that filing extension.
  • W-2 Bicycle Crunch & Skyrocket Jacks (10 reps, each side): Perform standing bicycle crunches to crunch those numbers, then transition to Plyo Jacks raising your hands to the sky.
