Randall King and Fiancee Brittany Make the Best Training Partners

Randall King, the rising country music star known for his heartfelt lyrics and traditional sound, has made waves not just in music but also in his approach to fitness. Alongside his fiancée, Brittany, King has embraced a dynamic workout routine that strengthens their bond while keeping them healthy.

One of the fitness challenges they embarked on together is the 75 Hard Challenge, which involves 75 days of strict discipline, including no alcohol, clean eating, and completing two 45-minute workouts each day—one of which must be outdoors. While they didn’t complete the challenge, making it to 45 days was still a commendable feat.

“We made like 45 days, something like that,” King says. “We did so we didn’t finish it. But typically we work out somewhere between 30 to 45 minutes a day on a normal hours.”

Despite the difficulties of maintaining their workout routine, especially with a baby on the way, King and Brittany aim to get back to their 30 to 45 minutes of daily exercise once their child arrives.

“With the baby on the way, it’s been a little difficult to get in there and do it,” King says, “but once, once baby’s here, we’re gonna kick back to it and get that 30 to 45 minutes a day.”

The couple’s fondness for fitness is just part of what King talked with Country Muscle editor Jeff Tomko on a recent Country Muscle Podcast. He also spoke about his journey from West Texas to becoming a country music artist. He shared his experiences playing six-man football, his admiration for Tony Romo and Eli Manning, and his training routines, which include cardio and light weights. King also talked about his upcoming tour, which includes shows with Willie Nelson, and his new album releasing in two weeks. He emphasized the importance of consistency in his fitness routine and how it impacts his performance and songwriting. King also touched on the challenges of balancing home life with touring and the misconceptions about performing energy levels.

Gym Partners for Life

Brittany has a strong fitness background; she was a gymnast who trained for the Olympics during her childhood, instilling a mentality of discipline and tenacity. King recalls their first workout together, which proved to be a challenging experience for him. The high-intensity training with heavier weights pushed him beyond his comfort zone, contrasting with his typical routines of heavy lifting combined with cardio. While that initial session was tough, it motivated King to elevate his fitness game; he realized that if Brittany could tackle these grueling sessions, so could he.

It’s just more of lifting each other enough to to keep pushing us going,” King says. “We’re there for each other and encourage each other.”

Their workouts have since evolved into shared sessions that not only focus on lifting weights but also involve bodyweight exercises and cardio. King enjoys workouts that keep his heart rate up. “My favorite things tend to be where I get the cardio light weight, or even just body weight, but just doing cardio and burning it out,” King says. “Keeping my heart rate up, keeping the intensity up for 30 minutes straight. Those, those seem to be the best ones that work for me.”

King says his Brittany loves and incorporates many workouts from the Beachbody app into their fitness regimen. Whether they are sweating it out together or pushing each other to achieve their best, their workouts have become a foundation for their relationship.

For Randall King, balancing a music career with family life and fitness reflects his commitment to growth—not only as an artist but also as a partner and soon-to-be father. This dedication to health and wellness showcases a holistic approach to life, emphasizing the importance of support and encouragement in both the gym and their personal lives. It’s helped to not only lead happier home life together, it’s helped King with his performance onstage.

Their workouts now revolve around support and encouragement rather than competition. They aim to uplift each other, pushing their limits collectively rather than viewing each other as rivals. Randall emphasizes the importance of stepping out of a competitive mindset to cultivate a positive workout environment.

As they navigate the challenges of fitness while preparing for parenthood, Randall and Brittany’s relationship continues to strengthen through these shared physical activities. Their commitment to each other and their health highlights how teamwork can enhance personal growth and resilience both in and out of the gym. With determination, they look forward to resuming their regular fitness routine together and supporting each other both in exercise and their upcoming journey into parenthood.
