Country singer Russell Dickerson is ready to take on golf’s finest. He’s just waiting for his invite.
The Masters tees of Thursday morning and features top golfers including Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler. Dickerson, who has only recently begun embracing the game over the past few years, showed off his recent driving skills on a recent social media post.
“Y’all got room for one more @themasters???” Dickerson says, on a Instagram post. Fans reactions were overwhelmingly impressed with the singer’s swing and energy.
Although it may be a while before he lands his PGA Tour card, the fans were in his corner.

Last fall, the “Bones” singer recalled to Country Muscle Podcast host Jeff Tomko how humbling the experience of not only getting to watch golf superstars like Tiger Woods tee off at the Masters , but to get to participate in a round on arguably the most prestigious golf course in the world—Augusta National Golf Club, home to the renowned Masters Tournament. This experience came on the heels of a charity event for a member of the exclusive club.
“I never played golf growing up, and I’ve only been playing for a few years, but it’s definitely fun to be able to play at these incredible courses,” Dickerson said, reflecting on his recent adventures on the greens. Dickerson, who’s also teed off on top courses such as Pebble Beach and TPC Sawgrasss. Dickerson also participated in a charity event with football legend Tim Tebow.
But for Dickerson, whose Russellmania Tour is now in full swing, getting the chance to swing his clubs at Augusta National represented a sacred experience. “I hadn’t been following golf for that long, but to be on the grounds of Augusta, surrounded by golf legends, was surreal,” he shared. “Seeing Tiger Woods tee off right in front of you is something I won’t forget. To receive the invitation to come back and actually play a round is just incredible.”
Dickerson humorously assessed his golf skills, revealing that his scores fluctuate in the 80s and 90s. “I think my best score was a soft 89, but honestly, we’re kicking the ball out of the woods here and there,” he laughed, acknowledging his golf game is a work in progress.
