It’s looking like Ernest is continuing to regain his pitching form—or at least his athletic physique
The popular singer-songwriter is showing off his steady progress toward his weight-loss goal of shedding 30 pounds in 120 days. Over the weekend Ernest shared gut-shrinking glimpses of his transformation with fans on social media, posting striking before-and-after shirtless selfies. He’s now 32 days into the “Train Nutrition Mentality” (TNM) plan, and while he hasn’t disclosed the exact weight loss, the leaner physique is unmistakable.
“Day 1 vs day 32… just getting started… it’s starting to feel more like a lifestyle than a challenge,” Ernest captioned the post, reflecting his growing dedication.
The update garnered positive reactions from fellow musicians and athletes alike, including Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis, who simply called him a “Beast,” and a shout-out from country singer Bailey Zimmerman, who praised him for being “ON THAT GRIND.”

Lean Out and Training Hard While On Tour
Currently touring with Old Dominion, Ernest recently showed off his discipline by skipping a tempting BBQ food truck in favor of a quick, effective jump rope workout outside his tour trailer. Jumping rope, an old-school cardio essential, can burn up to 300 calories in a 20-minute session, is once again becoming a staple of his on-the-road fitness routine, a tactic shared by other artists in the music world such as Jon Pardi.
In earlier updates, Ernest revealed his nutritional approach centers on high protein intake with minimal carbohydrates to fuel his weight loss while maintaining energy.
Playing this past weekend in Arkansas, the former athlete shared in another post his pitching skills with informal bullpen sessions outside the venue in Rogers. The fastballs harken back to his days as a top high school pitcher in Nashville, where he once faced another country superstar, Morgan Wallen, on the mound.
With just under 90 days left in the challenge weeks, fans headed to shows in Washington can look forward to witnessing the results in person as the tour stops in Kennewick and Everett the weekend of September 25.
