Eddie and the Getaway hopes his new track “Broken Man,” will be the musical spark that helps him break out as the next big thing in country rock. The Arizona rocker announced the date for his latest EP, Tumbleweeds & Nicotine, set for Sept. 19.
In addition to the recently released as well as new song “Broken Man,” fans will get an all-new glimpse into his evolving artistry with this six-track project, including songs like “Shot for Shot” and “Ain’t Yours Tonight.”
At just 25, Eddie has already built a devoted following of over a million fans, thanks to his fearless fusion of country storytelling and the rebellious energy of early 2000s rock.
“This new project is the culmination of the things I love most about country music’s storytelling and the edge of rock,” Eddie shares. “I wanted to create a body of work that bridges where my music has been with where it’s headed, and I think we accomplished that with the Tumbleweeds & Nicotine EP.”
According to Eddie, “Broken Man,” co-written with Lindsay Rimes and The Warren Brothers. Eddie was penned as a brutally honest reflection of his past, blending vulnerability with a desire for connection.
Raised in Arizona, Eddie’s musical journey started at age 5 with a set of drums, and has been taking off ever since. As a teenager, the independent artist was already opening for headliners including Alice Cooper. He says his music has been influenced by artists suck as Brantley Gilbert, Nickelback, Daughtry, and Creed, Eddie has carved out a sound that’s as grounded as it is high voltage. Beyond his own music, he’s written and produced for artists like Jay Webb and Pecos & The Rooftops, and has performed s at festivals such as Lollapalooza.
