Whiskey Myers are about to bring it all back home. The multi-Platinum powerhouse recently announced it will be hosting the eighth annual Wiggy Thump Festival on April 25, 2026, in Palestine, TX.
Joining the hometown heroes are a host of local favorites including Stoney LaRue, rising standouts The Band Feel, along with 79 South—bands steeped in East Texas music tradition.
The festival benefits the Anderson County Youth Livestock Association, building on more than $250,000 already raised for local youth. Tickets are on sale now at WhiskeyMyers.com.
The announcement caps a banner 2025 for the soulful six-piece band, fresh off the release of their seventh studio album, Whomp Whack Thunder, which Rolling Stone hailed as the band’s “most supercharged album yet. ” Fans catching the band live in 2026 can expect that same turbocharged twang, with a blend of new songs sliding seamlessly alongside their more popular crowd-fueled anthems.

In 2025, Whiskey Myers doubled down on the road, headlining its What We Were Born To Do Tour and co-leading the Live in 25 run with Tedeschi Trucks Band. They curated their own Moon Crush “Whiskey Moon” destination experience in Miramar Beach, Florida, stripped things back for intimate Whiskey Myers & Friends acoustic shows, and made high-profile stops at Stagecoach, Talladega Superspeedway, and even The Kelly Clarkson Show—proof of the band’s wide-ranging fanbase.
Their story is one of independence scaled to an arena-sized roar. Since 2007, Whiskey Myers have played nearly 3,000 shows, headlined icons like Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Ryman Auditorium, and opened a stadium date for The Rolling Stones. Along the way, they racked up 2.7 million albums sold, 4.1 billion streams, and nine RIAA certifications. Albums like Tornillo and their self-titled breakthrough topped country and Americana/Folk charts, while singles such as “John Wayne” made national waves. Their music—praised by Esquire as “the real damn deal”—has also become a sync mainstay across series like Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone and Landman.
